Rare edition of Hondius early map showing the Strait of Magellan. One of the earliest obtainable maps of the area. Published around 1616 in Amsterdam. Latin text on verso. Decorated with a compass rose, penguins, disctance scale and a title cartouche. Condition: A very good print. A few small holes in the bottom left margin, outside of print. Uneven margins. Some spotting and toning. Size: Image 100x134mm, total sheet size 123x200mm Shipping: Insured and with tracking.
