Art Nouveau "Owl and thistle" wax seal, ca. 1910 - Seal
A stunning antique gilt bronze Art Nouveau wax seal, made in Belgium ca. 1910. A true little masterpiece with superb design and craftsmanship, the two owls on the top are sitting with their backs to each other, each with glass eyes, underneath thistle leaf scrolls and the base is decorated with pink glass cabochons resembling rose quartz. It has the monogram ML on the bottom.

Overall in very good condition consistent with age. A beautiful work of art and would be the jewel of any collection.
