Anatolian Bronze Arrowhead Group (10) (No Reserve Price)
A collection of bronze Anatolian arrowheads, with varying shapes and sizes. They have mostly leaf-shaped heads with raised midribs and a socket which was used to attach the wooden shaft of the arrow. They are in a variety of conditions.
Arrowheads of this type have been recovered across all the Anatolian and North Euphrates region. Anatolia, also known in antiquity as Asia Minor, was located in the Anatolian Peninsula, part of modern Turkey today. It is one of the first regions to have boasted bronze production. The Iron Age of Anatolia marked the rise of classical civilisation, when Syro-Hittite culture rose and took over the former Hittite Empire.
