Hungarian Art Deco ceramic statue of a nude woman with green-blue glaze, in perfect condition. A rare and beautiful piece. A real collector's item! Hand painted glaze on moulded and handmade terracotta. Circa 1935 Budapest, Hungary. Dimensions: 28,5 x 11 x 28,5 cm. Komlos ceramics: Miklós Komlós and István Komlós founded a ceramics workshop together in Nyíregyháza in 1931. They designed and made ceramic sculptures and soon became known throughout the country (Hungary) for their very well-designed sculptures in bright, fresh colours. The brothers opened their second workshop in Budapest (7 Hársfa Street VII) in 1934. They used a new sign on their ceramics. Sándor Fábián, Hugarian art deco ceramics, page 125.
