1980 Nardi Brunello di Montalcino & Cantina del Parocco di Neive Barbaresco & 1971 Pio Cesari Barolo - Piedmont, Tuscany DOCG - 3 Bottles (0.75L)

1980 BARBARESCO from CANTINA DEL PARROCO DI NEIVE - Piemonte region - Grapes: exclusively Nebbiolo grape variety - Vinification: in stainless steel. Fermentation at a controlled temperature of 27° C, use of the délestage technique and racking at the end of fermentation - Conservation: wood for at least 9 months in medium/large sized barrels - Colour: more or less intense ruby red depending on the vintage, orange reflections with ageing - Fragrance: sweet violet which becomes more pronounced with ageing The 1980 BARBARESCO from CANTINA DEL PARROCO DI NEIVE, like all vintage wines in general, is subject to a multitude of variables that affect its aging over the years such that it cannot guarantee its drinkability, the only way to understand if it is still drinkable is to uncork it. It is undoubtedly an extremely original gift, with great impact and emotional value for those who receive it. Nardi 1980 Brunello di Montalcino - Winery: Fattoria Casale Del Bosco - Region: Tuscany, Italy - Bottled Strength: 13% - Bottle Size: 75cl - 100% Sangiovese from the Tuscan town of Montalcino; Matured for at least 2 years in oak barrels. Strong, velvety tannins, toasty oak notes, with complex aromas of red fruits, chocolate, wet musk and spices. 40 years old wine still impressive!!! Pio Cesare 1971: Producer tasting notes: "A classic style Barolo. Excellent structure, harmony and elegance. Soft tannins and balanced fruit. Approachable, but with a very long ageing potential. Barolo is a great wine, which should not be described as a “basic” or “regular” Barolo, simply because it does not have any additional indication on the label." - Pio Cesare
