Nikon D200 body Digital camera Nikon proves with the D200 body that professional SLR photography can be 'affordable'. The Nikon D200 is presented as the successor to the well-known D100, but has undergone so many changes that it is actually a completely new SLR camera. With this D200, Nikon approaches the qualities of comparable more expensive professional cameras that seem to be out of reach for many (amateur) photographers. Nikon is thus creating a new segment that lies between the entry-level model and the high-end professional camera. Performance The Nikon D200 is equipped with a 10.2 Megapixel CCD sensor that can produce a maximum resolution of 3872 x 2592 pixels on your screen. A very high ISO value of up to 1600 can also be set on the camera. The Nikon D200 certainly leaves nothing to be desired in terms of speed, although this SLR camera is not actually aimed at that. The start-up speed of only 0.15 seconds, the 11-point autofocus (AF) and a shutter speed of 50 milliseconds make the D200 a particularly fast all-rounder.
