Damask table linen with 9 napkins - Tablecloth (10) - 2.3 m - 1.5 m
No. 83983609
No. 83983609
This is a first for me.
I have not seen this colour way before
as the Napoleon 111 table linen introduced to the French around 1870
has always been with bladder red battens. This table linen has an
introduction of blue in the warp and weft, and with the additional gold and red it
makes a welcome change.
It could just be a sample which came of the weaver's loom and accidentally
made it into the haberdashery shop somewhere in France in the early 1900.
Whatever, I have dressed the table setting accordingly with blue.
