Oswald Kettenberger - Ich Du Er Sie Es Wir Ihr Sie - 1971

VERY BEAUTIFUL book by the HIGHLY UNDERRATED German photographer Oswald Kettenberger (1927-2020). Kettenberger was perhaps the most unusual professional photographer in the old Federal Republic of Germany. Because above all, he was a monk. More precisely: a brother of the Benedictine abbey Maria Laach in the Hocheifel region, between Bonn and Koblenz. Born on 18 March 1927 in Upper Bavaria, he lost his father at the age of three. As a teenager, he trained as a photographer and worked for an insurance company before realising his true calling in his early 30s. A great photo document of the late 60ties, early 70ties - in excellent printing. With text by many famous authors: Allen Ginsberg, Karl Pawek, Luise Rinser, Ernst Bloch, Max Frisch, Wolf Biermann, Henry Miller and Ingeborg Bachmann. IF YOU WIN MORE THAN 1 OF MY BOOKS IN THIS AUCTION, YOU WILL PAY ONLY 1 X SHIPPING COSTS -WORLDWIDE. Kommissionsverlage Echter und Agentur des Rauhen Hauses. 1971. First edition, first printing. Hardcover (as issued). 230 x 315 mm. 102 pages. Photos: Oswald Kettenberger, Maria Laach. Text in German. Condition: Inside fresh with no foxing; first blank page with longer private dedication from 1972 and small stamp at the bottom of the first blank page, no other marks and no other remarkable flaws or defects. Outside quiet fresh with trace of use; a bit bumped at the top right corner of the front (with no consequence for inside) and with stains at the top of the spine and at the top right corner of the rear side (also with no consequence for inside). Overall very good condition. Great, underrated German photobook.
