Since 1979, the palace has also been open for public visits. Palace ‘Ten Bosch’ is located in The Hague. This palace was the main residence of princess Beatrix between 1981 – 2014. At this very moment, the palace is being renovated, so that His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and his family can move in when the renovation is done. The palace is not solely used as the main residence for the royal family, but also as a guesthouse and is being used for representative purposes, such as the presentation of the new cabinet. Royal Goedewaagen makes miniatures of various palaces in the Netherlands which are hand-painted in the traditional Delft blue or polychrome manner.
