Very decorative old Persian Qashqai Kelim room size measuring 300 x 170 cm ( 9.6 x 5.8 ft ). Open field having bold geometrics in various colours all in a light blue background, having similar colourful borders. This impressive Kelim possibly made around the mid 20th century and has remained in good overall condition with very small wear due to the age. There is a resemblance both in colours and weave with the Caucasian Shirvan Kelims, however I personally believe it is very much tribal Qashqai Kelim! Regardless I have not seen any like this for a very long time especially of the size and lovely muted dyed colours. Very good looking piece which can lit up any room, traditional or contemporary. This Kelim was exported from Iran before 2015
