A very impressive Islamic Ottoman-Bedouin style silver-metal ring. It present high-raised oval bezel with black hardstone intaglio showing an insect, most likely a bee, with its wings wide open. The intaglio decoration served as a stamp or a seal, illustrating a protective symbol or the heraldry of the owner. The bezel is raised high up by a smooth 'neck' while the ring band is partly decorated with a geometric pattern. Good solid condition, wearable. Signs of wear consistent with age and use.
