Romy Schneider, pictured here at the London premiere of ‘Bloomfield’ (released in the US as The Hero).
It is a British-Israeli film directed by Richard Harris and Uri Zohar, released in 1971.
It was entered in the 21st Berlin International Film Festival.
The film had its world premiere in Harris's home town of Limerick. Screened at the Berlin Film Festival in 1971, Rex Reed, who was a judge, described it as ‘an appalling piece of self-deriding rubbish’.
The film was not released in the United States until 1972, where it was screened under the title The Hero.
