This Dogon cup is an original, handmade African bronze artefact that was handed over to me from a local "artisan" in the Djenné region of Mali. This cup with a lizard and a human head on top presents itself with intriguing and meticulous details. Please understand that it has some of its age. In my opinion, this truly is a hand-crafted masterpiece; please look at all the pictures. It has always been stored inside a glass showcase. MATERIAL: African bronze. Lost-wax casting process, brownish patina. PROVENANCE: Private collection, originally from the Djenné region, in Mali (collected in situ). SPECS: 14 cm diameter, 23 cm height. It weights about 2100 g. Insured shipping with Track & Trace. Fair shipping costs via UPS!
