An art vase from the Prasklo studio based in Prague, Czech Republic. Stone Me is an ultimate celebration of our groundings, the Earth, the big rock, the stone as the primal material and force in the indefinite Space. Stone Me works with several shapes and limits of submissiveness of stone. The glass bottle is the stone well processed by a human, so delicate that it is easy to forget it comes from stone. It resembles more water than stone. The glass beads go even further with refinement, yet they do look like small precious sandstone already. And than the beton part reminds us that stone is a beast energy that flows and finds its organic ways, not willing to submit to human orders. As all vases from the Prasklo brand, this one is made in only one original exclusive piece made by the Prasklo artist Petra Svejdarova. It was all hand-made by Petra.
Prasklo works with up-cycled glass materials such as disposed bottles, old chandeliers, crashed car windows, Bohemian crystal default pieces from glass works and others. The glass or crystal after cut and shaped is combined with beton. The combination of the two materials so opposite and yet both originated from stone, provides for very emotional and sensational piece of design. Each piece is very personal to its creator and reflects on the flow of the mind and the nature at the present moment.
Prasklo sells in Tokio's prominent design store Living Motif, apart from Kunsthalle Prag, Codigo Design Gallery in Porto, Portugal, and many others. It cooperattes with L'etincelle Art Space Belgium. Prasklo has been selected to the very narrow curators' pick for the exhibition TRENDS 2020 at the Ambiente Design Fair in Frankfurt am Main, valued for its originality and strong emotional narrative. Each vase is signed by author and accompanied with Certificate of Authenticity.
