Karl Tutter - Hutschenreuther - "Town Musicians of Bremen" (19,5 cm) - Figurine - Porcelain

Enchanting figurine called “Town Musicians of Bremen”, hand painted porcelain with outstanding details, made by famous artist Karl Tutter for Huschenreuther, in excellent to pristine condition. “Die Bremer Stadtmusikantenof” is a popular German fairy tale collected by the Brothers Grimm and published in Grimms Fairy Tales in 1819. The figurine features a white rooster, sitting on a black cat, that is sitting on a spotted dog’s back, with the dog stretched out on the back of a gray donkey and all of them appear to be singing. It tells the story of four domestic animals, who after a lifetime of hard work are neglected and mistreated by their former masters. Eventually, they decide to run away and become town musicians in the city of Bremen. Contrary to the story's title the characters never arrive in Bremen, as they succeed in tricking and scaring off a band of robbers, capturing their spoils, and moving into their house. Marked on the back of the base with Hutschenreuther mark of the period and impressed name of K.Tutter, beautifully sculpted and glazed, it is in excellent to pristine condition, NO chips, NO cracks and NO repairs, please see the pictures, as they are part of description. 1969 - 1975 Dimensions : Height: 19,5 cm Length: 16,5 cm Width: 6,5 cm It will be very carefully and safely packed !
