This is a beautiful and very elegant late 19th century antique warming dish with lid, made in England by William Hutton & Sons! Perfect for serving hot food at dinner table. Oval shape with twisted rope edges and handle of the domed cover, hollow walls and spout for filling with hot water, to keep the food warm for longer. When used without hot water, the holloware walls still provide insulation which allows the food to stay warmer for longer.
