Spanish Netherlands, Brabant, Brussel. Ducaton / Dukaton 1683
Incredible ducaton / dukaton minted in Brussels 1683. It is a very rare type second bust and it has corrosion as it comes from a shipwreck, the Marestein sunk near South Africa in 1702. This coin was taken off circulation just some year after it was minted that is why the bust of the king, specially the face is totally visible, even the pupile of the eye. The reverse is shows just slightly circulation and has an incredible patina.
