The book contains a number of works focusing on the climate and dairy farming in eastern Hokkaido, centered around the theme of labor. The Eastern Hokkaido region is the largest dairy farming area in Japan. During a photo trip, I was fascinated by the sight of dairy farmers at work for the first time. The cows were bigger than I had imagined, the simple warmth and gentleness of the workers, the breath and smell of the living creatures. As I stayed and photographed for a while, I felt that this was a theme I should focus on. Above all, I can drink as much milk as I want. As a milk lover, I could not have asked for a better environment."
