Philips - DRC-9034 - Speaker set

In 1986, "digital" was all the rage in the audio world, and Philips also had a blast with a range of top speakers designed for digital audio sources such as compact disc and, not to forget, laser disc. After all these years, this set has some signs of wear, but sounds like a clock. As Philips itself indicates, the speakers were designed entirely with the computer, this seems to work because they produce a very tight and clear sound. It is a closed 2-way system with a flat woofer, a home tweeter and a passive bass radiator (the bottom square unit). The flat cones are very fragile and have suffered some very small dents over the past 30 years due to curious fingers. This has no adverse effect on the sound and is not visible at all when the semi-transparent fronts are placed. In short, a very nice and excellent sounding set from the beginning of the digital sound era. The fronts are no longer as nice, but the cloth could be replaced. SPECS: Music Power: 90 Watts, 8 Ohms. Nominal power: 50 Watts Freq. Response time: 38 - 20,000 Hz Sensitivity: 86 dB Max. sound pressure: 107 dB Dimensions: 550 x 270 x 260 Weight: 8.1 kg each Philips speakers. works, along with greater precision and detail for more critical listening. All speakers units works properly. The woofer and passive woofer have sustainable rubber edges in still perfect condition. Despite their age these loudspeakers surprise with natural sound, deep bass, wide range and full of details very dynamic music scene. They also accurately reflect the original, multidimensional layout of the recording with all the details and nuances so the listener can feel like in a studio or at a concert. what you see is what you get so please check the photos carefully. Some signs of use on a few edges. Shipping costs including very good packing, it will be big.
