2016 Valdicava Brunello di Montalcino 2016, I Sodi di S. Niccolo 2016, Riecine 2016 - Tuscany - 3 Bottles (0.75L)

Valdicava Brunello di Montalcino 2016 James Suckling 98P: Attractive aromas of balsamic, tea, dark berry, walnut and coffee bean. Full-bodied, yet tight and very intense with ripe tannins that are fine and reserved. Racy and polished. Beautiful length to this wine. Needs at least two to three years to come. Try after 2024. Robert Parker: 95P I Sodi di S. Niccolo 2016 Robert Parker 96+P "This is a true beauty and a wine that makes a lasting impact. I came back to my opened bottle some 24 hours later, and the wine tasted even better. It shows enormous purity and focus, with specific aromas that remind you of its Tuscan origins. Those aromas are very Mediterranean in character with rosemary and crushed lavender, followed by wild cherry, dried raspberry and cassis. The tannins are elegant and finely integrated, and the wine leaves nothing but long, polished sensations behind. This is one of the best vintages of I Sodi di S. Niccolò I have encountered in 20 years." James Suckling 95P Riecine 2016 Robert Parker 94P Closed with a white wax capsule, the Riecine 2016 Riecine is a single-vineyard expression of Sangiovese. This is a gorgeous and elegant wine with plenty of dark fruit, wild cypress, tilled earth, crushed flower and Tuscan herb or rosemary. The wine is layered and complex, although the mouthfeel remains gracefully lifted and mid-weight overall. The tannins are integrated and there is a spot of cherry sweetness on the close. This excellent wine very much stands apart in this tasting from Gaiole in Chianti. James Suckling 95P Since release stored in cool climate conditions
