Three Ancient Egyptian Faience Amulets
Nice lot of three ancient Egyptian faience amulets.
The lot includes a wedjat eye amulet. The upper part
of the jackal headed Duamutef, he is one of the four
Sons of Horus. Duamutef was the protector of the stomach
of the deceased and held it as one of the four canonic jars.
And a fragment of a fish?.
Date: Egypt, Third Intermediate Period - Late Period, circa 1069 - 332 B.C.
Material: Faience
Size: ca.: 2,1 cm, ca.: 2,4 cm, ca.: 2,5 cm
Condition: chipped, fragments
Provenance: estate of S. H., Stockholm, Sweden (name will given to the new owner)
bought in the 1950s - 1960s and thence by descent.
