A truly beautiful chess set for any chess enthusiast and collector of special games. Considering its age of more than 30 years, the chess set is in good condition. The chess set consists of 32 authentic solid tin statues on an enamel base, of the protagonists of the famous Battle of Waterloo. They also contain a number.
The chess set depicts a few historical figures, including Napoleon, Wellington, Ney and the Prince of Orange. The chess pieces are made by artist Philip J. Haythornthwaite and consist of a copper base with enamel hoop, and sculptures made of tin.

The wooden boxs shows signs of wear, see photos. The chess pieces are in very good condition.
