Comtoise / Rooster clock – period 1770

Original Comtoise from the 18th century with striking mechanism on the hour and half hourly strike with a different hammer. Enamel dish dial. Original casting mould with the French rooster and two flying hens. The casting mould still has the remnants of three French lilies that were filed off during the French revolution. This indicated that you didn't support the king, so the clock could remain on the wall. Clock has the original doors and bell. Alarm clock has been removed, as happens often. The clock has a long, foldaway pendulum (of later date) with cords and a lead weight. Clock is complete with old weights, suspension bracket and fitting key. Measurements: 24.5 cm wide. The movement has been professionally cleaned.. Shipping by registered post, but pick up in Bennekom is also possible.
