Beautiful old patina and remarkably smooth polish as was done in the past and is rarely seen nowadays.
A. Fatimah worked in Bali during the 1940s and 1950s and was known for his ebony sculptures. He also made use of other indigenous kinds of wood such as sandalwood. Works of this renowned woodcarver are now highly sought-after.
Signed on the bottom: A. FATIMAH BALI
Measurements: 24 cm high and 19.5 cm wide
Weight: 1240 grams
The statue is of high quality and is in good condition. Although one point of the blangkon has been glued (see photos).
