Rare bust of a frivolous lady on wall console, by the Paridon Brothers.
Finished with gold-coloured accents.
The sculpture comes from my private collection, almost without old age tracks. This despite the age.
Sculpture marked with GvP 662 high 27 cm wide 18 cm.
Wall column marked GvP 072 is 27 cm high and 17 cm wide.
Total height 44 cm
Made of Paridur, a mix of plaster and resins.
From 1905 to 1920, the van Paridon Brothers made classical art in their studio and then continued with more religious art. During that period they often worked in the well-known green colour with bronze and gold accents.
After 1920, the Paridon brothers made primarily Christian religious sculptures and stopped producing classic and modern art.
Because of the vulnerability of the material, it is rare to see this type of 100-year-old sculptures in such a good condition.
