【Product details】

On offer is a striking 20th-century Japanese armor set, echoing the esteemed craftsmanship of the samurai era. The set is comprised of a kabuto helmet marked with “Hachiman Daibosatsu”, denoting the wearer's devotion to the Hachiman deity. The standout feature is the “Daki Myoga” crest on the do-maru style cuirass, historically linked to the elite Otomo clan, symbolizing a lineage of prestige.

This armor set, while showcasing remarkable patterns and intricate lacquer work, suffers from significant lacquer peel-off, which may worsen with the rigors of shipping. Bidders are advised to consider the potential for further deterioration during transport, as the lacquering was observed to flake off even during the photography session.

The set includes face and neck protectors, arm and leg guards, adorned with fine metalwork and decorative fabrics. Age-related wear such as stains, scratches, rust, and fabric tears are present, contributing to its vintage character. The accompanying wooden storage box shows wear with scratches and damage, with the armor's current condition requiring careful handling. Note that the armor requires some restoration, particularly the cords, and the kabuto does not fit into the box.
The stand for display is not included.

Shipping will be through FedEx for Sweden, Spain, Denmark, Poland, and the USA, while EMS will be used for other countries.

Please examine the provided photographs to fully appreciate the item's condition.
