Gon (ゴン?) is a 1991 Japanese comic book written and illustrated by Masashi Tanaka, (1962) GON is possibly his most well known work, famous being a silent comic throughout its entire run.
The cartoon is about a small and short-tempered dinosaur named Gon and his adventures and contacts with the natural world. The comic completely lacks dialogue, a lack that is compensated by the high level of detail and realism of its illustrations. Somehow, Gon managed to survive the extinction of the dinosaurs, and he is shown interacting with Paleolithic animals.

Gon became famous outside of Japan for his appearance in the Tekken 3 fighting game. The comic received an animated adaptation, broadcast in Japan, and premiered on April 2, 2012. The comic won an award for excellence at the Japan festival. Media Arts Festival in 1998.
