When the car was purchased by its current owner, it was in good condition of preservation, everything working perfectly (engine, brakes, wiring, etc). Proof of this is that it passed the last MOT on July 2014. Shortly afterwards the restoration process started, starting with the complete disassembly of the car. The bodywork and chassis were sandblasted and then received an Epoxy anti-corrosive treatment (with certificate, see photo). Then all damaged parts were changed or repaired by original new VW parts, so now the chassis and body are completely free from rust, almost ready to be painted. More than €6,000 have been spent in that process. It also comes with many new parts, such as some chrome and window rubbers, bearing bellows, engine gaskets, etc (see photos). The car is complete, it is just disassembled. The paintwork, upholstery and fine tuning work need to be finished, so the new owner can choose the aesthetics with which he wants to finish the car.
