Emilio Payés was born on February 28th 1935 in Alcoy, Alicante, Spain. He began to paint at the age of fourteen. When he was 18, he started his formal training in art. Due to his talent as a drawer, he was inspired and pushed to start his training at this young age. During his education and training, he studied with the Spanish teacher Sr. Edmundo Jorda.
“Payés’ started painting professionally when he was 28. From that moment, he has exhibited his works in galleries, including the Galerie Soria, Châteauroux, France in 1995 and Galerie Hispaluz, Concepción, Chile in 1996.
Emilio Payés works can be found in private collections in all Japan, Saudi Arabia, Germany and the USA Among Payés collectors we can find Prince Fahd Bin Salman Bi from Saudi Arabia and members of the French and Belgian aristocracy aristocracy.
The artist described his current style and the influence of his paintings as customs, manners and impressionism. His favourite subjects are the landscapes, the ports and the Parisian elements.
