He began to paint at the age of fourteen. When he was 18, he started his formal training in art. Due to his talent as a drawer, he was inspired and pushed to start his training at this young age. During his education and training, he studied with the Spanish teacher Sr. Edmundo Jorda. “Payés’ started painting professionally when he was 28.
