An antique dry compass by the firm W. Boosman in Amsterdam with serial number 679. It is a large and heavy compass with a level on the edge of the compass. Also an attachment with magnifying glass and 2 glasses. However, the 2 glasses came off (see the photos). Further a gimbal ring that by means of special screws can be secured to the compass. It seems like little bearings fastened around the screw (see photo). The purpose of this is not known to me. The compass hangs in a compass which originally had a lid on it.
