The tracing paper slightly adheres to the celluloid, which does not harm the image on the cel. Daisy Town was a French-Belgian animated film, Lucky Luke's first animated appearance. Although the plot (written by René Goscinny) was not based on any of the previously released Lucky Luke albums, almost every character and every incident in the film is a reference to the albums. A Lucky Luke comic based on the film, with the title Daisy Town was released in 1982. These celluloids show Lucky Luke smoking, which is unique as after the 1980's censorship his cigarette was replaced by a straw.
