Flower girl with two poppy flowers in light-brown, beige-brown and green, executed in a zamak / spelter sculpture on a black round wooden base by Jean Charles Ruchot from the late 19th century, France.
Jean Charles Ruchot was a French sculptor who by the end of the 19th century, early 20th century (1880 /1925) was the first to make bronze and stone sculptures in the academic style and later, influenced by the Art Nouveau, used zamak / spelter.
The sculpture is 41.5 cm high in total, the wooden base is 14 cm round and has a brass plaque with inscription "Pavot", the sculpture itself is signed with "CH Ruchot".
Details, the sculpture itself is in good condition, however the colours have faded here and there.
