This exotic and rare pendant dates from the Victorian period approx. 1880, also known as the British Raj.
Tiger claw jewellery became popular during the British colonization of India.
Wealthy British travellers on safari brought these trophies home as souvenirs with an Indian flair, as a memory of their great colonial adventure.
Today, the manufacturing of such jewellery is prohibited.
Therefore this pendant is a collector's item.
Jewellery that dates from before 1947 are permitted under CITES regulations.
The gold was marked, but this is nog readable (see photograph 12). This is why it has been tested, and it is 14 karat guaranteed.

Condition
Used, there is a slight unevenness on the back (photograph 2), wire loop of the pendant has become a lot thinner in course of time (photograph 11 and 12)
