T-96 'Boomerang' desk in rosewood and metal, by Osvaldo Borsani for Tecno, Italy, 1956. This Boomerang desk by Osvaldo Borsani is made of rosewood. The two revolving cabinets are held in position by the characteristic metal tripod legs. These supports have three feet. These two units rotate around the desk supports and can be replaced. The desk top has the characteristic shape of a boomerang, which is appealing both aesthetically and functionally. The desk is a development of the forms of the T58 and the T90 and was created as part of the coordinated furnishings for the ENI building in San Donato Milanese. The original corner desk top was inspired by the hexagonal plan of the building designed by Marcello Nizzoli and Mario Oliveri and represented the optimal spacial configuration.
