A very solidly built turntable in beautiful condition, for many years of carefree enjoyment. As seen in the pictures, this SL 1800 is in nice condition and completely original. There are very slight signs of wear, which is very special for a turntable of 40 years old. The dust cover is neat with light hairline cracks and a cleaning stain on the front. This has not been polished again, but is in original condition. This is a “no nonsense” turntable for the real vinyl enthusiast. The arm is lowered onto the record manually, and the arm is manually brought back to position at the end of the record. Records turn properly. The SL 1810 is similar to the SL-1200 MK1 with electronic speed control and the same quick starting direct drive motor and heavy metal base. The steel sub chassis is suspended on the housing of the cast alloy by means of adjustable springs and rubber. This makes the SL 1800 very insensitive to vibration from outside. The player comes with a Shure M75 ED type 2 cartridge with very good needle. This is a very reliable turntable you can enjoy for years without problems. It shows from the specifications that this is a very high quality player for the real music player.
