Käkikello - Puu - 1900-luvun loppu
Large, well-working cuckoo clock with a music mechanism.
Two melodies, on the half and full hours, respectively: Die Mühle im Schwarzwald, and the Holzhackerbub'n Marsch.
The clock was purchased in the Black Forest in 1970.
The movement was overhauled by a recognised clockmaker in 2016.
The movement is clean and has been oiled.
The ornamental frame, depicting the famous hunting scene with a deer head, rifles, a hunting horn, hunting bag, hare and partridge, has been cleaned and polished.
The only perceivable remnant of a small restoration is a hardly visible fracture line in the roof of the ornamental frame. The woodcarving is otherwise in pristine condition.
The rifles hang loosely from the deer head and rest on two wooden pins.
Length of the rifles: 36 cm.
Length of the deer head: 14 cm.
Total length of the clock including antlers: 82 cm.
Wooden dial.
Wooden pendulum.
Original wooden cuckoo flutes.
The three weights weigh 420 grams each.
