Antique display plate by Alba Docilia, the most important furnace in Albisola. A gorgeous plate in shades of blue, typical of Albisola pottery. In 1919, Adolfo Rossello from Albisola returned to his hometown and, in partnership with a group of sponsors, among which Eng. Guglielmo Camogli, Congressman Michelino Poggi, attorney Costantino Barile and Andrea Seitun, opened an art ceramic factory named “Alba Docilia” after Albisola ancient Roman name. In 1922, the “Alba Docilia”, at that time directed by Roman painter Mario Gambetta, won a medal at the Diano Marina exhibition and since 1923 regularly participated in the Fiera Campionaria of Milan.
