Beautiful reliquary containing “Ex Ossibus” of St. Anne, the mother of the Blessed Virgin, and “Ex veste” of St. Philip Neri.
Philip Romolo Neri (Florence, 21 July 1515 – Rome, 26 May 1595) was an Italian presbyter, educator and activist, revered as a saint by the Catholic Church. He was born in Florence and moved to Rome when he was very young. He decided to devote himself to his evangelical mission in a corrupt and dangerous city, so much so that he received the nickname "Third Apostle of Rome".
Soon he had gathered around himself a group of street boys, bringing them closer to the liturgical celebrations and entertaining them, singing and playing, without distinction between males and females.
For his cheerful disposition he received the nickname of “the Saint of Joy”.
