This Harman Kardon HK-870 sounds very nice and transparent and detailed with nicely defined and controlled bass reproduction. Combines swiftly with most speakers because of the sizeable power (2 x 100 watts @ 8 ohms en 2 x 200 watts @ 4 ohms). Because of the used technology (multiple capacitors), this is a very fast amplifier which sounds the best with dynamic music (classical, pop, rock). Listen for hours without getting tired. Internally built oversized and tight, yet a minimalist external design, a wolf in sheep’s clothing. The amplifier is checked by the technical service and 100%. Optically 90% because of some minor signs of wear, this is only visible from up close. The amplifier looks very good overall.
