Tin box dating from 1935 to mark the first transatlantic flight with The Snip (Fokker F.XVIII). The aircraft departed on 15/12/34, with the crew J. Hondong, J. van Balkom, S. van der Molen and L. Stolk. From Amsterdam, a few days' time was flown via Marseille, Alicante and Casablanca to Praia in the Cape Verde Islands. On 19/12/34 the Snip left and reached Paramaribo 17 hours later. From there, they flew to Curaçao (they landed there on 22/12/34). The total distance of 12,200 kilometres was covered in 54 hours and 27 minutes. Height: 18.5 cm. Diameter: 11 cm.
