GILLES & DEGUÉ A beautiful French 1925-1930 art deco chandelier in nickel on bronze or solid brass holding 4 shades and 4 panels in moulded-pressed glass. In the typical neo-classical art deco style of Gilles. Pierre Gilles was a French designer with a factory and lighting shop in Paris. The shades of this chandelier were produced for Gilles by Degué the famous glass factory of David Guéron. All four panels on this chandelier are signed Gilles France. The four side shades are signed Degué. Bronze of P.Gilles is always of outstanding quality with very fine details. The chandelier has a height of 61 cm and is about 63 cm wide. It's in very good condition. I have renickeled and patinated the fixture and it comes newly wired. The chandelier is rewired with European E14 sockets. So you can use our modern electrical bulbs for it. For the US or Japan I will place US candelabra base ones. The chandelier will be shipped in two parcels.
