Norberto Proietti - Grano
Norberto Proietti was an Italian painter and sculptor. Initially he showed interest in architecture and, in 1939, he moved to Rome to work with his uncle at his tailor's shop. During his career he was greatly inspired by Giotto's frescoes in the Basilica of San Francesco and the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Maggiore in Spello. In 1950 he returned to Spello, where he opened his own tailoring workshop and, since 1961, he devoted himself exclusively to painting, holding various exhibitions abroad. In 1971 Cesare Zavattini awarded him the Suzzara Prize. Norberto specialized in painting still lifes, night landscapes, Roman countryside, musicians, interiors and wheat.
