Here is a rare jewellery box with various compartments, created by Dupré-Lafon in collaboration with Hermes.
Period: 1948-1950
It comes straight from a private French collection, exclusively on Catawiki.
1 Jewellery box size: closed: 22.7 x 11.9 x 3.5 cm, open: 23.8 x 22.6 cm
Jewellery box signed Hermès Paris with the old hallmark that existed ca. 1950.
An absolutely identical box was sold for $5,000 recently at Sothebys.
Condition:
A few small dents and light signs of use. But beautiful box, interior is very attractive, signed on the leather and on the inside of the lid where the metal has a mirror polish.
