Makila 91 cm high, good condition, signs of wear and patina
A Makhila or Makila is a walking cane used by shepherds for guiding their flock of sheep, but also for self-defense, like against woolfs, it is also used for ritual celebrations or dances.
It is composed of a complex knob assembly of horn followed by an copper assembly , followed by a steel defence peak with a screw to fix the medlar cane ending in a copper engraved ring set with a piece of iron.
Inscription in the superior part " HITZ EMANA ZOR " (a promiss and a debt)
It takes month to make a Makila, they're not for sale but always offered in the Basque tradition
