At the expense of a group of Parisian bibliophiles, Paris, 1948 1 volume small in-4 (24 x 18.5 cm), in sheets, under printed cover filled, 21 sheets with 18 dry points in the unsigned text but Fernand Hertenberger. Superb erotic work beautifully illustrated by Fernand Hertenberger of 18 compositions very free and harmoniously arranged in the text. These illustrations represent in the etchings the sexual impulses of Wagner's heroines in a very free and expressive style. The "justification" is printed in the form of a lettriste phallus. Pierre Louÿs composed these nine most obscene sonnets in homage to Wagner's heroines during a stay in Bayreuth in 1891.
