This a rare and very large bed cover knitted in the mid 20th Century. It has been very little used to deck the bed and for most of the time has been deposited and left in the large wedding Normandy armoire from the seller. It looks as if it has never been used and is in excellent condition. The pattern is of flowers set in squares and framed with rows of pompoms. The fringe hangings are all complete and magnificently finished with draped yarn in between the fringing and creates an almost theatrical effect and very unusual. As the bed cover is 2m50 long we have created a bolster effect, but of course it can also be used the other way and is thus versatile in its use.
