A Luba iron spear currency. Large flat leaf shaped blade with some incised decorations on the socket. With custom stand.
The african iron currencies appeared relatively late in African art because blacksmiths acquired control of iron only after exchanges with Westerners. However, there is a very wide diversity depending on the region. They were used for barter or wedding dowries.

Condition: Some surface wear but good condition.
