Original & authentic vintage poster of Pablo Picasso at Grand Palais and Petit Palais, 1966-1967 Size : 18 x 24 inches, 46 x 61 cm Condition : Very Good To celebrate Pablo Picasso’s eighty-fifth birthday, a huge exhibition entitled Homage to Picasso was organised, at the initiative of André Malraux, across three Parisian institutions: the Grand Palais, the Bibliothèque Nationale, and the Petit Palais. While the Grand Palais presented around three hundred paintings, originating from the artist’s private collection and the holdings of some of the world’s greatest museums, and the Bibliothèque Nationale exhibited a selection of prints, the Petit Palais displayed some two hundred drawings, two hundred sculptures, 115 ceramics, and the stage curtain for the ballet Parade. The discovery of Picasso as a sculptor was a revelation for visitors.
