Extremely rare series, Tove Jansson's Art cards from 1941, number 1-10 (the whole series has only 10 different cards). Tove's name on the card. Excellent condition. It's nearly impossible to find the whole series and in this condition. This series is the result of many years collecting. There's 10 different cards in the series, animal themes. Tove was an opponent of war and these animals reflected it. Card nr 10 is Finnish Marshal Mannerheim and foxes playing cards (Stalin, Churchill and maybe Mussolini). All the other cards are linked also to war. Tove Jansson was a great defender of peace and she often drew anti-war drawings, e.g. for the GARM comic magazine. These art cards from Tove Jansson is a beautiful piece from 1941 that will make a great addition to any collection. This particular series has been well-preserved and is in excellent condition, ready for display or framing.
