François-Alexandre Dubois (1838-1920) had founded with his son Antoine (1869-1949) and the painter Emile Lombart on earthenware, the pottery of Saint Ghislain (1892-1909). This earthenware then moved to Anderlecht in 1909 when it blooms, until it is destroyed by fire in 1918. In 1920, Antoine DUBOIS founded with four partners the ''Ceramic Montoise''. The pottery is located along the Canal Mons Condé between Avenue des Canadiens and Avenue Basins. It employs a hundred people, including René DUBOIS, son of Antoine, who works until he founded his own pottery ''Pont Canal'' in Cuesmes (1947 to 1965).
Ceramics Montoise closed in 1950, shortly after the death of its founder.
